Yesterday’s shoot was a blast. Such a nice location with really great artists. This one is with Matt Pasquet. Now I have vacation for one week from school. I hope I will shoot a lot during these days. I start with a shoot tonight. Enjoy #featuremeinstagood
Go to training company on three hours of sleep, covered in bruises from pole class which were then decorated with rope marks from a four person suspension at a party I was at till 5am last night, ACHIEVE MOVE THAT I THOUGHT I WAS YEARS AWAY FROM.
This is my first attempt at a cheststand runaround (which is just the name I’ve attached to it in my head, if there’s an actual term for it I wanna know!). Nicolo started me out walking circles in my backbend, then we dropped it down to my headstand, and finally I tried it out in my cheststand. (It goes without saying that I did a lot of falling and slipping and dropping myself onto my back before I moved it down the to my chest.) And holy hell, it’s not that hard. I’m posting up on my elbow to croco into the initial transition, but I can feel what needs to shift in my body to make the smooth run happen.
I spent all class grinning through my exhaustion. This has been on my “long-term contortion goal” list for ages, in the category of “so far out from my skill level I don’t even know how I’d start to train it” and I went from zero to a stumbling success in a single class.
